Solvent Depolymerization

How it works

Solvent depolymerization uses glycol-based solvents to dissolve, react, or soften polymers to remove contaminants from melt filters and associated process equipment.

What we do

Triethylene glycol (TEG) solvent is used in bulk depolymerization of melt filters and associated process equipment. Prior to cleaning the filter media, the bulk polymer must be removed or dissolved. Carolina PEC's TEG process is controlled via PLC and data are logged electronically, ensuring safe and gentle removal of polymer with consistent and repeatable results.

"Throughout my career at Carolina Filters, our unwavering commitment to new and cutting edge technology has established us as the world's leader in metallic filter cleaning and testing."
