Carolina Filters developed Enhanced Integrity Testing to quantify the degree of flow localization vs uniform flow across the filter media during testing. The test helps identify media rips, tears, and broken metal fibers that are large enough to effect the performance of the filter. If there is a tear in the filter media, standard test methods may not fail the filter but the tear causes flow localization which could impact filter performance online.
Enhanced Integrity Testing takes standard testing methods a step further and provides a metric to gauge the impact of oversized pores on the level of filtration of a potentially compromised media. Customers are able to get use of the entire life of the filter, trouble shoot problems with their equipment, justify the disposal of a filter, and much more.
